Sleeping outside
Spending the night in Kaldoaivi wilderness is once in a lifetime experience! What makes this area so special is the emptiness of treeless tundra and the silence. The area where we will take you has no huts or other manmade buildings. We can put our tents almost anywhere and have the whole wilderness just to ourselves.
We organise tailored hikes all year round for small groups. The length can vary from an overnight trip to a longer hike. Overnight trips can be organised for solo travellers as well.

Aurora hunting
Can you imagine stearing at the sky and seeing no other light than just the stars and the Milky Way – and if lucky also the Northern Lights? Aurora season starts in September and lasts until April. We organise tailored Aurora hunting tours for small groups by car but other activities – such as snowshoeing – can be added to the tour.
Besides your memories and hot drinks and snacks we’ll make sure you will also get good quality photos from the evening.

Day in wilderness
When visiting us you should definitely spend as much time outdoors as possible. Our village and the surrounding wilderness has a unique climate and light conditions. Besides Polar Nights, Midnight Sun and Autumn Foliage the changes in light and weather never stops to amaze us. These changes can happen really fast so you should always be well prepared when going to the wilderness. We recommend attending guided tours especially if you’re not used to the arctic weather.
Our daily tours are organised according to your wishes and the weather. We can go by foot, snowshoes or skies. We make sure there’s always time for a nice cup of good coffee with homemade sweets. For longer all day activities lunch can also be included.
